OUR MISSION
To promote Latino and other minority artists and writers of excellence working on marginal issues, and to mentor promising young talent in the United States and abroad.
OUR VISION
LART pays special attention —though not exclusive— to artistic manifestations that have been marginalized due to class or prejudicial motives, such as works whose theme and style depict the experience and expressive modes of groups traditionally excluded from the mainstream cultural arena.
The uniqueness of Latino Artists Round Table originates from the awareness of its members that it is necessary to work toward unity in the Latino world and beyond, regardless of our national origin, geographical location, race, social class, sexual orientation or the language we use to express our creativity. Our awareness stems from the experience of living in New York and from dedicating ourselves to the city's cultural activities for more than two decades.
